Real IEP Goals

The following IEP goal was written for me when I was living in an institution that had a tiny excuse for a "school" attached. My primary memories are of falling asleep drooling and all the things the teachers did to keep me from falling asleep, like blasting The Diary of Anne Frank in my ears with headphones. It certainly explains the actions of the staff well enough, although I suspect they did not mean to write it this way. I have not altered this document in any way:

Curriculum Area: social-emotional; Annual Goal: to
increase frustration level; Implemented by: spec. ed. staff

For those without graphical browsers, that reads:

Curriculum Area: social-emotional
Annual Goal: to increase frustration level
Implemented by: spec. ed. staff

So you know I'm not joking, here's the actual page from the IEP with this section outlined in red:

Truth in advertising for once, I guess. Suffice to say it was the only goal they had any chance of meeting for me. ;-)
